A chair for the neighbor

Hospitality in Scripture is not an aesthetic. It is a chair, a plate, and the decision that your house can take one more person without a speech about how messy it is.

Romans 12:13 · King James Version
Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
Hebrews 13:2 · King James Version
Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

We have watched churches print a hundred flyers for an event and then forget the couple who sits two rows back and eats alone. Romans 12 is closer to a weeknight than a banquet.

Hebrews 13:2 is not a ghost story. It is a warning against the habit of sorting people into worth-my-time and not. You will not know, and you are not asked to know. You are asked to make room.

Start smaller than you think. One extra baked potato. A text that says the porch light is on. Learn the child's name.

If this show is good for anything besides talk, it should make the table longer, not the platform taller.
